HUD is offering an eight-part web-based modular training course for HUD grantees and funding recipients on Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition (URA) Policies Act of 1970, as amended requirements for HUD funded projects. Module one provides an overview of the URA. Module two provides an overview of another federal law known as Section 104(d), which applies to Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership funded projects. Modules three through eight provide greater technical training on various URA topics. Key resources and tools are presented through a combination of regulation review, examples, knowledge checks and case studies. Earn a certificate of completion by successfully completing a quiz at the conclusion of each module.

USDA Rural Development Decoupling Program Development Stakeholder Session – April 25
The decoupling of rental assistance from Section 514/515 loans under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024 will now permit properties with Section 514/515 maturing mortgages to continue to receive rental assistance to further preserve affordable housing. A stakeholder engagement session is being held on April 25 at 2 p.m. ET and those interested in participating are encouraged to register.
