Minnesota Housing is now accepting applications for the Homework Starts with Home (HSWH) program. This program supports collaborative efforts between schools, housing organizations and local governments to identify, engage and stabilize students and their families experiencing homelessness. Minnesota Housing anticipates allocating up to $3.5 million in HSWH funds using the Family Homelessness Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP) and Housing Trust Fund (HTF) program guidelines. Funding availability is contingent upon legislative approval of program appropriations and may increase or decrease. Applications are due by noon CT on August 10.

Minnesota Housing hosted a webinar for those interested in applying for the Homework Starts with Home (HSWH) Request for Proposals (RFP). The webinar recording and PowerPoint slides are available for on-demand viewing.

Minnesota Housing also posted a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document, which includes questions that were asked during and since the webinar. Minnesota Housing will continue to accept questions about the application until noon CT on July 27. Answers to questions received will be added to the original FAQs and posted around July 9 and final, updated FAQs will be posted around August 2.
