RAD and Its Current and Projected Consumption of LIHTCs

In a new CityScape article, Alex Schwartz of the New School and Kirk McClure of the University of Kansas explore how the RAD program can “consume” LIHTCs. Based on current trends, Schwartz and McClure predict that, over the next decade, roughly 60 percent of all four percent credits and 20 percent of all nine percent credits will be absorbed by the RAD program.
