The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) recently published an Advanced Energy Design Guide (AEDG) for Multifamily Buildings. The Design Guide was developed to assist building owners and operators, design professionals, developers and other multifamily professionals in achieving zero energy buildings in a way that is “financially feasible, operationally workable and readily achievable.” This multifamily-focused volume is the third in the AEDG zero energy guide series, which is the product of a collaboration among ASHRAE, American Institute of Architects (AIA), Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Department of Energy (DOE).
