HUD issued new guidance, which covers HUD-assisted multifamily units where tenants are responsible for their electricity bills and have access to community solar programs with key similarities to DC Solar For All. The guidance allows for more widespread participation in community solar across the affordable sector, enabling more low- and moderate-income households to share in the economic benefit provided by solar energy generation while participating in the economy-wide effort to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
