HCD will host three in-person workshops, as well as one virtual statewide workshop to present key changes and a Q&A period:

  • October 20 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. PT: virtual, register here.
  • October 24 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. PT: Creekside Apartments Davis, CA, register here
  • October 25 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. PT: Annadale Commons Fresno, CA, register here.
  • October 26 from 1:45 to 3 p.m. PT: SANDAG San Diego, CA, register here.

The AHSC program builds healthier communities and protects the environment by increasing the supply of affordable places to live near key destinations like schools, stores, childcare, transit and other daily needs. AHSC projects include affordable housing and transportation improvements that encourage walking, bicycling and transit use resulting in fewer passenger vehicle miles traveled. The decrease in vehicle miles traveled will achieve greenhouse gas reductions and benefit Disadvantaged Communities throughout California.
