The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) released a NOFA and guidelines for its Higher Impact Transformative (HIT) Allocation of the Regional Early Action Planning Grant Program of 2021 (REAP 2.0).

The HIT Allocation of REAP 2.0 funding is available to Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), Councils of Governments (COGs), local governments, transit agencies, Tribal Entities and other eligible entities (through legally binding partnerships) on a competitive basis to support novel, unique or innovative approaches that are scalable and that further REAP 2.0’s Goals and Objectives. The $30 million HIT Allocation is the final source of funding that will be made available through REAP 2.0.

Applications for the HIT Allocation are due by December 31 to REAP2021@hcd.ca.gov. HCD will host a webinar to discuss program requirements, logistics and general questions regarding the HIT allocation at 10 a.m. PT on November 18, register here.
