Oregon Housing and Community Services announced that effective May 23, 2023, all unallocated Land Acquisition Program (LAP) funds remaining in the Portland Metro Statistical Area and Other Metro Statistical Areas have been pooled into a Metro Statistical Area set-aside. These funds are made available to any eligible organization to use for either Homeownership or Affordable Rental Housing land acquisitions in any metro region in Oregon. The affordable housing revolving LAP opened their resource offering of $20 million from the 2021 Oregon Legislature. As specified in the program manual, the resource set-asides are reset after one year with the goal of pooling remaining funds for urban investments and allowing the use for either affordable homeownership or rental land acquisition across all remaining resources.
