HUD announced the launch of the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) webpage on the HUD Exchange. BABA requires that all iron and steel, construction materials and manufactured products used in federally funded infrastructure projects are produced in the United States, unless otherwise exempt or subject to an approved waiver. The BABA page offers an array of resources and training materials to assist Community Planning and Development (CPD) grantees and their partners in determining when an infrastructure project must comply with the “Buy America Preference” (BAP) as outlined in BABA.
