In a new letter, HUD, the Department of Health and Human Services and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy urge HUD grantees to proactively engage with public health and other community organizations to combat the opioid crisis and keep their communities safe. They also published fact sheets for public housing authorities and owners of HUD-assisted multifamily housing. SAMHSA provides grant funding to states, territories, Tribes, and community providers to support the purchase and distribution of naloxone and other opioid overdose reversal medications and training for their use.
