The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation issued an interim final rule and technical amendments regarding the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) final rule. This interim rule amends and requests comments on the applicability date of the facility-based assessment areas and public file provisions, which would move from April 1, 2024, to January 1, 2026. Comments are due May 13, 2024.

HUD announced an increase in deductibles for wind and named insurance coverage for multifamily properties financed with FHA-insured mortgages as a measure to address rising wind and storm insurance costs in recent years with extreme weather events expected to continue.
