Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen signed legislation to make the State LIHTC available to nonprofit organizations and make it transferrable. L.B. 182 allows LIHTC recipients to transfer, sell or assign the tax credits to another taxpayer beginning with taxable years beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2024. The Nebraska State LIHTC generally matches the Federal LIHTC amount.
