The Universal Funding Application for the 2026 Housing Credit funding round is now open and is due by noon ET Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025.
The Development Team Capacity application is also open and will be due no later than Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Development team members previously issued capacity approval letters from KHC should check the duration of the approval to determine if they are required to complete the Development Team Capacity application in 2025. Please note that the window to request a technical assistance meeting is now closed.
For this application, the following funding sources have been set aside to blend with Housing Credits:
- Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) – $500,000;
- HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) – $1.8 million;
- Rural Housing Trust Fund (RHTF) – $4.5 million; and
- KHC’s predevelopment loan product is also available.
As a reminder, the RHTF is a new funding source made available to KHC by the Kentucky legislature specifically created for the new construction or rehabilitation of units in rural areas of the state serving households up to 120 percent AMI. However, applicants should keep in mind that when layered with other KHC resources, the more restrictive income cap will apply. All units assisted with RHTF funds will carry a 30-year deed restriction.
