A bill recently introduced in Texas would prohibit the allocation of LIHTCs for developments in certain school districts. H.B. 280 states that an application for LIHTCs will be ineligible for consideration if the development is located in a school district required to share excess property tax revenue with lower-income schools during the five-year period preceding the date the application round begins.
