The Louisville Metro Brownfield Program can help by providing below-market rate brownfield clean-up loans (subject to funding availability):
- $450,000 is available to private entities and nonprofit organizations at 1–3 percent interest rates, with flexible loan terms depending on the project.
- $480,000 is available to nonprofit organizations of which 50 percent can be forgiven upon successful project completion at 0 percent interest.
The program does not currently have environmental site assessment funding available, but eligible nonprofits can apply for free Phase I & II assessments through the State of Kentucky’s Targeted Assistance to Brownfields Program.
Program staff are available to provide general guidance on the application process. Please contact Brownfields Project Manager Sara Ellis at 502-574-0569 or [email protected] for more information or to discuss your project.
