HUD recently released a notice in the Federal Register requesting public comment on the form related to LIHTC tenant information collection. A provision within HERA instituted a requirement that each state housing finance agency (HFA) provide annual information to HUD regarding the race, ethnicity, family composition, age, use of rental assistance, and income of LIHTC property tenants. The form used by HFAs to collect 2009, 2010 and 2011 tenant data expires May 31, 2013 and public comments are due by February 26, 2013.
