The Trump administration and HUD are investigating Boston over claims that its homeownership programs unlawfully violate civil rights protections under the banner of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s office rejected the allegations, saying the city will defend its fair housing efforts amid ongoing clashes with the Trump administration. Senator Warren released a statement on “Trump’s Attack on the City of Boston’s Efforts to Build More Homes and Lower Costs for All.”
