Minnesota Housing released the Draft Preservation Framework for the Targeted Stabilization of Regulated Affordable Rental Housing (Preservation Framework) for public comment on January 20, 2026. The agency recently identified and resolved a technical issue that may have prevented some public comments from being successfully submitted by email. Individuals who attempted to submit comments and received an automated error message are asked to please resubmit their comments.
To account for this issue, Minnesota Housing is extending the public comment period to 5:00 p.m. Central time on Friday, February 6, 2026. The Preservation Framework and instructions for submitting comments are available on Minnesota Housing’s Preservation Framework webpage.
