  NH&RA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors which is elected annually by its membership at the organization’s annual meeting. The Executive Committee is comprised of the organization’s officers and is elected annually by the Board of Directors. Comments on Virginia Housing’s Minimum Design & Construction Requirements Due April 3

Virginia Housing will begin a review of the current Minimum Design and Construction Requirements (MDCR) shortly. Modifications to the MDCR will affect:

Rental Housing loan applications submitted during the 2027 calendar year
Developments receiving 2027 Low Income Housing Tax Credits

The MDCR Committee would like your feedback on the current requirements. For those interested, please forward your comments and suggestions to [email protected].

Comments must be received by April 3, 2026, to be considered in the review process. Due to the expected volume of comments, a formal response to each comment cannot be guaranteed. Please click 2026 Minimum Design & Construction Requirements to access the current MDCR.
