| The State of Minnesota is developing its 2026 Housing and Community Development Action Plan and wants your feedback. This plan reflects year five of the state’s 2022-2026 Consolidated Plan, which examines the housing and community development needs of the state and sets priorities for allocating U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds. The draft Action Plan is now available for public review and comment starting April 24, 2026, on the Department of Employment and Economic Development’s Community Development Funding Website under Consolidated Plans. After Public Hearings and Comment Period The state submits an Action Plan and Citizen Participation Plan to HUD to receive federal housing and community development funding through the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships, Emergency Solutions Grants, Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS programs, and the national Housing Trust Fund. A summary of the written and public hearing comments on the Action Plan and the state’s responses will be included in the final Action Plan. The Action Plan and, if necessary, substantial amendment, will be submitted to HUD after HUD notifies the State of its fiscal year 2026 allocations. Questions?
