The North Dakota Department of Commerce Division of Community Services (NDDCS) opened a pre-application period for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) FY2026 through July 24, 2026. Pre-applications must be received by 5pm CT on July 24, 2026, to be considered for funding.
Pre-applications will be reviewed based on the scoring criteria outlined in the 2026 CDBG Program Distribution Statement (PDS). At this time, a draft 2026 CDBG PDS is available and is subject to change until final approval is given by HUD at a to be determined time.
If a Unit of General Local Government (UGLG) is surveying the community to qualify as low-to-moderate income, the survey must be completed and received by DCS no later than May 7, 2026.
