The Florida Housing Finance Corporation recently released its tentative Funding Timeline for 2016-2017.

Ohio Housing Finance Agency has begun the technical revision process for the 2016-2017 Qualified Allocation Plan. In accordance with OHFA’s two-year allocation plan, only minor revisions are expected for the 2017 period.

The public hearing will be held in conjunction with the public hearing for the amendment to KHC’s 2016 Consolidated Action Plan to incorporate the new National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) allocation from HUD.

As part of the Montana Board of Housing allocation process, Letters of Intent must be submitted via email in specific formats.

The policy blueprint, which is entitled “A Pro-Growth Tax Code for All Americans,” contains no legislative language and outlines how the House plans to continue working on tax reform into 2017.

Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA) and the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) will conduct a public hearing concerning the 2016 National Housing Trust Fund Allocation Plan for the State of Alabama. The Plans contain a preference for projects that target veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Delaware State Housing Authority has published a Draft Allocation Plan for the anticipated $3M of funds it will receive through the National Housing Trust Fund.

The New York State Legislature approved $150M in new funding towards supportive housing. This amount leaves advocates wanting, however.

California’s new Low Income Weatherization Program (LIWP) offers financial incentives to cover a significant portion of energy efficiency and solar installation costs for eligible projects. LIWP funds will typically cover approximately 30-80% of the efficiency project costs and 50-100% of solar PV systems, depending on the scope of work, project size, projected GHG reductions, and other project variables. For LIWP to provide the highest value to your projects, enroll early in the predevelopment stage to get help planning the scope of work. LIWP incentives may be integrated as part of a rehabilitation project or used for a standalone energy retrofit project.

Kentucky Housing Corporation is currently drafting amendments to its 2016 Consolidated Action Plan and 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan to incorporate the National Housing Trust Fund. A public hearing will be held to solicit public input.

Amendments have been made to the FY2015-2019 Consolidated Plan as well as the FY2016 Action Plan. The amendments include strategies and information on implementing the NHTF and a public comment period is forthcoming.

The West Virginia Housing Development Fund has announced a likelihood that West Virginia’s next QAP will award points for properties that utilize National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) monies and have project-based rental assistance.
