While comments are currently being accepted, the official comment period will likely begin in early September.

This round will devote 80% of funds to multifamily housing and 20% to single family (as opposed to 100% to multifamily from the first round). Read on for a summary of changes to the multifamily portion.

The law is to be phased in by zip code over the next five years, with full coverage by 2022.

Management agents that wish to become certified for the 2018 LIHTC process must submit to WHEDA a 2018 Agent Certification Worksheet by Friday, September 1, 2017.

The Preliminary Ranking lists 22 projects.

The 2018 QAP Public Hearing will be held at NCHFA’s office on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 2pm. 

DHCD has a pending amendment to the 2017 QAP to allow for a “October 2017 Mini-Competition” for high readiness family projects with substantial matching funds.

CHFA recently announced the availability of construction and permanent taxable bond financing for use with the 2017 9% LIHTC applications.  Applicants may apply for this program with reduced documentation.

Michigan State Housing Development Authority recently released a memo outlining updates to the 2017-18 QAP due to the current state of the equity market.

Five regional maps have been created thus far (Capital & Northern Region, San Francisco Bay Area, Central Valley Region, Los Angeles Region, and San Diego Region), with four more set for completion in late August.
