The Virginia Housing Development Authority has issued a reservation application update for 2011 LIHTCs. The update addresses the locality notification information summary, an additional EarthCraft Multifamily Training Session (February 25), Universal Design training (February 17), and several minor corrections to the 2011 application.

2012 Budget Preview Proposes NMTC Expansion

The White House today announced that the Obama Administration’s fiscal 2012 budget will propose an expansion of the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program to $5 billion from $3.5 billion to encourage investments in startup companies and small businesses based in low-income areas.
