CRA Reform Bill Introduced in House
U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) has introduced a bill (H.R. 6334) that would make legislative changes to the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), which requires banks to meet the credit needs of low- and moderate-income neighborhoods in their service area.
House Bill Would Allow NMTCs to Offset AMT
Rep. Alcee L. Hastings (D-Fla.) has introduced new legislation that would, among other things, allow New Markets Tax Credit investments made between March 15, 2010 and January 1, 2012 to offset the alternative minimum tax.
