In April 2022, the Oregon Housing Stability Council approved a framework to provide funding gaps for projects that, due to the market conditions and construction cost increases, have not been able to close and start development. 

Oregon submitted an application in February to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which includes new innovative proposals that would allow Oregon for the first time to spend Medicaid funds on housing services if approved.

Governor Kate Brown appointed Andrea Bell as the director of Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS), effective April 1.
