The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) has issued a Request for Proposals to solicit requests for $19.6 million in Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds. A portion of the funds are available for request by developers of low-income housing tax credit projects. Permanent supportive housing is another eligible activity. The application deadline is March 27. Separate, the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation has issued a Request for Qualifications for NSP funds it is making available. The submission deadline is March 5. Under the NSP program, the federal government is providing grants to state and local governments to assist them in facilitating the purchase, renovation, and recycling of foreclosed and abandoned properties, including homes.
