A draft National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) Allocation Plan is now available on the Florida Housing website.

Florida Housing will hold a workshop on Thursday, April 28, 2016, starting at 1:30 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, to discuss the proposed Allocation Plan with the public and stakeholders. The meeting will be available in person at Florida Housing Finance Corporation, 227 North Bronough Street, Tallahassee, Florida, 32301-1329 and also available by phone. For call-in instructions and additional information about the NHTF, please visit the Florida Housing website.

U.S. HUD is expected to release the allocation amounts for each state sometime in the spring of 2016. As the allocating agency for the funds in Florida, Florida Housing must prepare an allocation plan to submit to HUD for approval before the NHTF funds may be received.

The April 28th workshop will provide attendees an opportunity to hear and provide comments on Florida Housing Finance Corporation’s proposed NHTF allocation plan outlining how the funding will be allocated. In addition, Florida Housing staff will answer questions about HUD requirements, eligible activities, and next steps in the process of formally adopting the NHTF Allocation Plan.
