This past Friday, Oregon Housing and Community Services released the NOFA for its Local Innovation and Fast Track (LIFT) program.

The following are some features of the LIFT program:

  • Funds can be paired with 4% LIHTC
  • Priority consideration given to projects requesting $38,000 or less LIFT subsidy per unit
  • 20 year minimum affordability period (or the length of time Article XI-Q bonds are outstanding, whichever is longer).

Key LIFT Dates:

August 31st: LIFT draft legal document templates published
September 2nd – 6 th: LIFT NOFA release
September 7th: LIFT NOFA training, 9-11am at OHCS
September 19th: MUST notify Site.Visit@oregon.gov by 9/19 to initiate required site visit
October 31st: LIFT applications due to OHCS
January 6th: LIFT project recommendations to Housing Stability Council
