On July 13 at 9:00 am CT the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority (IHCDA) began accepting applications through the Rental Assistance Portal. The portal connects Hoosiers to a variety of rental assistance programs administered by IHCDA.

The COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program was designed to help Indiana renters who live outside of Marion County and are earning less now because their income was reduced due to a COVID-19 related event, such as job loss or reduction in job hours.

Low-income renters outside of Marion County may be eligible for rental assistance through the Emergency Solutions Grant if they have been affected by COVID-19 either medically or financially. Individuals or families in need may use the portal to apply for either program.
