The Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) announced that the Department for Local Government (DLG) published the application and policy document for the 2021 Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program for multifamily new construction activities. Developers applying in KHC’s 2024 Tax-Exempt Bond Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Western Kentucky Disaster Response may also request CDBG-DR funds to pair with KHC resources. The CDBG-DR application is a separate process from the KHC application and applicants are required to indicate in the KHC application if they are seeking CDBG-DR funds and the amount requested. The application submission deadline for KHC’s 2024 Tax-Exempt Bond NOFA for Western Kentucky Disaster Response is February 29 at 12 noon ET. Due to the delay in the application’s availability, DLG is extending the CDBG-DR application deadline by two weeks to March 14, 2024, for the Multifamily New Construction Rental Program.
