The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) launched a public survey to shape the state’s upcoming statewide housing plan. The survey marks the first statewide public engagement effort in the development of Michigan’s next housing plan. SHP 2.0 will be a collaborative blueprint that will build on the progress of the state’s first housing plan released in 2022. Click this link to fill out the survey.
All are encouraged to share experiences, concerns, and ideas about housing in Michigan. Public input will play a central role in developing the new plan and help inform goals and strategies for the years ahead.
Current and next steps include:
- Statewide and regional data analysis, listening sessions, and community engagement activities
- Collaboration with local governments, Tribal partners, housing providers, and advocacy organizations
- Identification of priorities and strategies to guide investment and action
- Additional opportunities for public and partner engagement will include listening sessions and regional engagement events.
