OHCS releases 9% LIHTC and HOME NOFAs – training Jan. 23

The Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) released Notices of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the development and preservation of affordable rental through the HOME Investment Partnership program (NOFA #5003) and the 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credit (NOFA #5002).

Applicants for both NOFAs must schedule a required site visit. To initiate scheduling the required site visit, send an email to: Site.Visit@Oregon.gov. The deadline to requesting visits for each NOFA is 4 p.m. PT on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019. Requests sent after 5 p.m. will not be scheduled. The scheduling request email must include:

  1. Sponsor’s name
  2. Site Name
  3. Site address (site to be visited)
  4. Contact information for person responsible for scheduling and attending the site visit
  5. Name of person completing the 2018 OHCS Project Site Checklist
  6. Fully completed 2018 OHCS Project Site Checklist including all required attachments

OHCS will hold a training for the LIHTC and HOME NOFAs on Jan. 23, 2019, at OHCS, 725 Summer Street NE, Salem, OR 97301 from 10 a.m. – noon in the first floor conference room (124A and B). The training will also be available via webinar, register here. Training materials will be available on the OHCS website after the training. Contact MFNOFA@oregon.gov with questions and include the NOFA number in the subject line.

THDA Multifamily Programs Updates

The Multifamily Programs office of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) sent an email providing several updates on its activities. THDA has yet to publish its 2019 Multifamily Tax-Exempt Bond Authority (MTBA) and Competitive Low Income Housing Tax Credit applications but wrote that they are under development and should be available soon.

Florida Updates Housing Credit Geographic Request for Applications (RFAs)

Florida Housing Finance Corporation has released an updated set of Housing Credit Geographic Request for Applications:

The Corporation expects to issue these RFAs on September 6, 2018.
