New Mexico Names Isidoro “Izzy” Hernandez Head of MFA

The board chair of the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) announced that Isidoro “Izzy” Hernandez has been named as the organization’s executive director in a unanimous board vote. He replaces Jay Czar, who was MFA’s executive director for 13 years.

New Mexico Hosts 2020 LIHTC Fundamentals, QAP Trainings

The New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority will host a LIHTC Fundamentals Training from 8:15 to 11:45 am MT on December 3 at the CNM Workforce Training Center located at 5600 Eagle Rock Ave, NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. There will also be a 2020 QAP Training from 1:15-5:00 pm MT on the same day, at the same place. This workshop is a requirement for the submission of a LIHTC application

Comments Due Oct. 30 on New Mexico’s 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan, 2020 Annual Action Plan

The New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) and the Department of Finance and Administration, Local Government Division (DFA) are seeking public comment on the Draft State of New Mexico 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan and 2020 Annual Action Plan. Comments are due by October 31, 2019. MFA will hold a public hearing on the drafts on October 23 at 5:00 pm MDT.

New Mexico Releases Draft 2020 QAP

The New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (NMFA) released its 2020 Draft QAP as a clean version and a redline comparison version to the 2019 QAP. Comments can be submitted through 5:00 pm MDT on October 8, 2019.

NMFA will hold a public hearing on October 2, 2019 from 1:30 to 3:00 pm MDT in the NMFA board room at 344 Fourth St., SW Albuquerque, NM  87102 and via webcast. The webcast is for viewing only. Webcast participants will not be able to actively engage or present their oral comments while viewing the webcast.

New Mexico Finalizes 2016 QAP

New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority Board of Directors approved modifying the 2016 QAP to return fees to the 2015 QAP levels. The governor approved the 2016 QAP. Tax Credit Application period opens January 11 and closes February 1, 2016.
