Governor Cuomo Proposes Housing Budget Cuts

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently revealed his 2011-2012 Executive Budget proposal that includes approximately $308 million for the Division of Housing and Community Renewal, a figure that represents a nearly $157 million reduction from last year’s budget.

HUD Issues Notice to Rental Assistance Contract Owners

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has issued Notice H 2011-01, which announces that owners with Project-Based Section 8 Rental Assistance Contracts or Section 202 or 811 Project Rental Assistance Contracts must obtain Dun and Bradstreet Numbering System (DUNS) numbers and register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) within 60 days of the notice’s publication or January 5, 2011.
