President Barack Obama has announced his intention to nominate Sandra Henriquez as Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Henriquez has been administrator and CEO of the Boston Housing Authority since 1996 and had previously served there in various capacities from 1977 to 1983. Prior to her role as CEO at Boston Housing Authority, she held positions as principal of Maloney Properties, Inc., a real estate property management firm, and as Director of Housing Management and Tenant Services for the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development.
