The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority has issued a memo of proposed amendments to its Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Qualified Allocation Plan and Procedures for 2010. CHFA’s proposed changes include:

  • Insert language that allows CHFA’s Board of Directors to identify certain projects as “Exceptional Priority,” which can apply at any time and will not be ranked against any other projects. The new draft will also define and establish criteria for “Exceptional Priority” projects;
  • Increase the number of possible points for developments located within a QCT from 2 to 10;
  • Increase the number of possible points for rehabilitation in municipalities with Regional Centers or new construction in designated municipalities from 2 to 4 points.

CHFA is accepting comments from the public on the proposed changes until December 17. Read more…
