The Virginia Housing Development Authority will hold its LIHTC 2012 QAP Forum on June 23 in Richmond. Topics scheduled to be discussed at the forum include:

 • Implementing a correction period following the application deadline
 • Providing a list of developers pre-qualified for experience points
 • New construction points — remove urban development area or affordable dwelling unit requirements
 • Proximity to transportation — remove point category or revise documentation requirements
 • Subsidized funding — clarify that funding is for development costs only (no construction loans or delayed payments)
 • 504 points — the current 15 point category is no longer appropriate — remove this category. Revise the point categories to 30 points for project-based federal subsides and 15 points for vouchers
 • Provide an approved market analyst list
 • Revised various amenity point categories

 • Add a new construction pool
 • Revise the local housing authority pool
 • Revise the geographic pool amounts
