Thanks to generous support from HAI Group, the National Housing Preservation Database has a completely redesigned user interface, updated current data, and new property and neighborhood data. To access the upgraded database, simply re-register for the database by clicking here.

New features include:

  • New mapping tool that allows users to map publicly supported properties by filtered characteristics of interest
  • New preservation profiles that report the characteristics of publicly supported rental units by state
  • Expanded choice of data fields at both property and subsidy level, including target tenant population, census tract, construction year, and bedroom unit mix
  • New data table with enhanced search and filter capabilities
  • New download capabilities for the database grid, including the ability to download subsidy records
  • Expanded choices of pre-populated datasets, including an inactive property extract
  • Improvements to how subsidy status is determined
  • New data on state subsidies in Florida, Connecticut, and Massachusetts
