MassHousing Closes $19 Million in Financing for Brockton Development  

MassHousing announced it has closed on approximately $19 million in affordable and workforce housing financing to Trinity Financial, Inc., which is developing the 111-unit Phase Two of the Enterprise Center in downtown Brockton, MA, for residents with a wide range of incomes.

Vermont Offers $170 Million for Housing, Conservation & Rural Economic Development

The Vermont Housing & Conservation Board (VHCB) will award $168.8 million in supplemental state funds and federal American Rescue Plan Act State Fiscal Recovery Fund (ARPA-SFR) funding for investments in housing, conservation, working lands businesses and rural economic development. The first general application due date is July 23, 2021.

Ohio Offers Additional Nine Percent LIHTCs for Construction Increases

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) Board of Directors approved an addendum to the 2020-2021 QAP intended to address financing gaps faced by developments due to escalating lumber prices and other increasing material and supply costs. OHFA is setting aside LIHTCs and Housing Development Loan (HDL) funding for developments that were awarded competitive nine percent LIHTCs in 2019 and 2020. Additional funding awards will be made on a first come, first served basis.

The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is seeking comments on its multifamily housing program (MHP) draft guidelines. The final 2022 MHP Guidelines will apply, in large part, to all HCD multifamily development programs.

The California tax Credit Allocation Committee updated its 2021 credit estimates. The new estimates include the county allocations for the federal disaster credits.
