The Internal Revenue Service divided $2.59 million in unused Low Income Housing Tax Credits from calendar year 2015 among 30 states.

Michael J. Dirrane has been appointed by Governor Baker as Chairman of the MassHousing Board of Directors. It is the second time Mr. Dirrane has led the nine-member Board that governs the affordable housing agency.

MassHousing and the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation released “Chapter 40T at 5: A Retrospective Assessment of the Massachusetts’ Expiring Use Preservation Law.”

Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association will host a forum on June 3 to look at the success that Massachusetts has achieved in preserving affordable housing stock since the passage and implementation of the Chapter 40T law in 2009.

DHCD rental round is underway with pre-applications currently under review. Sponsors of pre-applications that receive DHCD’s approval will be invited to submit full applications, using the online OneStop+ application, by April 23, 2015.
