HUD awarded nearly $1.5 billion to support seven states in their recovery from 2018 disasters, including Hurricane Michael, Hurricane Florence and wildfires in California.

The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency is accepting applications for its 30th annual Housing North Carolina Awards.

On April 8, the Woda Cooper Companies opened its new Shepard Greene housing community in Zebulon, NC. The 50-unit apartment community offers age-in-place features and energy-efficient apartments for residents aged 55 years and older who are at 60 percent area median income or less.

The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency published the list of received Housing Credit and tax-exempt bond preliminary applications. There were 153 preliminary 9% applications in 50 counties (141 new construction and 12 rehabilitation) and 16 tax-exempt bond applications. The final 2019 Qualified Allocation Plan is now available on the North Carolina Housing website. The 2019 Housing Credit preliminary application is also now available.  The deadline for application submission is noon on January 18, 2019.
