Abram is the founder, chair and CEO of James River Group, Ltd. which owns a group of insurance companies that underwrite casualty insurance in 50 states.

The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency posted the 2019 LIHTC awards. 40 projects in 29 counties totaling 2,653 units were funded through LIHTC. Two projects received CDBG-DR funds to support Hurricane Matthew recovery. Awards were also made to six tax-exempt bond projects totaling 1,040 units.
