The Internal Revenue Service divided $2.59 million in unused Low Income Housing Tax Credits from calendar year 2015 among 30 states.

PHFA will host a Pre-Application Meeting for its 2016 PennHomes/Low Income Tax Credit Programs on Thursday, October 22. The purpose of this meeting is to provide updates to the 2016 Programs and review and discuss the 2016 Selection Criteria.

The Bank’s 2015 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) funding round opened June 8 with approximately $23 million in funding available. Applications are due August 11. Funding is available for projects in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency has made changes to the mandatory Enterprise Green Communities criteria for preservation applications. The threshold criteria forms in the 2015 application will be revised on their website to reflect these changes.

On September 29, California Governor Jerry Brown vetoed A.B. 1399, a bill to create a state new markets tax credit (NMTC), and A.B. 1999, to create a state historic rehabilitation tax credit (HTC).
